The Trouble With Wonder Woman

Last night at work, in the church nursery, I carried a baby in an Ergo while he slept. When his mom came to pick him up, I was like “Wow he’s so big.” She said “yeah he weighs 20 pounds.” I said “yeah I feel much lighter.” Then I realized, since December, I’ve lost about 20 pounds. I lost an entire baby’s body in weight. Carrying him around was how much I weighed a few months ago, and it felt so heavy tonight. I was happy to have it off my body when I gave him back to his mom.

I am happy I decided to be kind to my body and be healthy. I love my body at any size, but I feel like I have more energy these past few months. I love how strong my body feels. I can run for 5-8 minutes. I can go on a 3 mile walk. I see muscles forming in my legs and arms.

During No Weigh May I’m going to focus on watching how my body looks and feels as I continue on this healthier lifestyle. Can’t wait to see what new muscles I discover this month!!!!

I’m participating in No Weigh May. I weighed myself yesterday for the last time in a month. Here are pictures from yesterday and today to see my progress.

Goals for May:

No weigh ins!

Drink more water.

Eat more fruits and veggies.

Get 10,000 steps every day this month.

Run C25K program at least 3 times a week.

Portion control.

Get more sleep.
